CGIAR Research Program: Grain Legumes
This project brings together Australian and Indian partners contributing distinct but complementary multidisciplinary strengths in physiology, molecular biology and breeding. The project uses diverse chickpea germplasm, including the world core collections and elite breeding lines. It aims to produce outputs to directly assist current pulse breeding programs in India and Australia. The pulses (grain legumes) form a critical component of Australian and Indian farming systems. .
