This project is part of a wide USAID program titled â€œUSAID-Mali Accelerated Economic Growth Add-Onâ€ initiated by the USAID Mali mission. Its primary objective is the development of innovative solutions to set the stage for long-term impact, which includes participatory planning and implementation of integrated adaptive practices; production and dissemination of high quality climate information; accelerating climate change adaptation process through identifying social and cultural barriers to adoption and identifying critical issues of marginalized population, women and youth. Its secondary objective is the development of a learning agenda that includes tackling weak capacity of local partners to implement the action research and mechanisms to upscale proven successful options; establishing mechanisms for communication with farmers; diagnosing opportunities and constraints; and developing tools and approaches to empower climate change adaptation actors to define priority investment needs.
