ICRISATs role in this project is in the area of phenotyping a range of materials in specialized phenotyping platforms (LysiField and LeasyScan). The germplasm includes cultivated chickpea introgressed with Cicer reticulatum (the wild ancestor of chickpea), from unique, diverse, new, and recent collections in Turkey. Apart from providing access to unique germplasm, the project will contribute to the LeasyScan upgrade (planned for 2015) involving equipping the platform with additional sensors (load cells).
