Groundnut and sorghum seeds multiplication (to support activities in the sorghum and groundnut value chains in seed production and capacity enhancements of farmers and extension agents)

The project aims to produce at least 5 tons of breeder seed and 10 tons of foundation seed of 6 improved groundnut and sorghum varieties; train at least 2000 farmers and seed producers and at least 200 extension agents and staff of seed companies in improved seed production technologies; ensure certification of at least 100 ha of various classes of groundnut and sorghum seed production; link at least 200 seed producers to seed companies for buy-back of seeds for packaging and marketing; and to ensure that at least 500,000 farmers access certified seed of these crop varieties.
