Catholic Relief Services-United States Conference of Catholic Bishops (CRS) will, over a period of approximately five years, use donated commodities and funds provided by USAID to implement a program that aims to reduce food insecurity and malnutrition among vulnerable rural populations in Niger. The objectives are: reducing chronic malnutrition among households with pregnant and lactating women and children; increasing production and consumption of food for nutrition and income among vulnerable households; improving integrated disaster risk management among target communities; and expanding gender roles to enhance sustainable results.
