Drought and high temperature (heat) stresses are considered to be the two major environmental factors limiting yield in groundnut. This project will utilize the diversity generated through biparental and multiparental genetic populations for understanding the trait complexity, improved understanding on genomic control and discovery of candidate genes and markers. The promising lines identified with stable performance across locations and environments for heat and drought tolerance may be a great resource for further trials and varietal release for the target regions.
