The overall goal of this initiative is to increase agricultural productivity and improve the livelihoods of rural poor in fragile dryland areas. This must be done on a sustainable basis by enhancing the impact of integrated watershed management programs in the country through capacity building initiatives using site of learning in low rainfall agro-eco regions. The specific goal is to increase agricultural productivity and improve the sustainability of rural livelihoods in selected villages of Bellary district in Karnataka.
