The goal of the project is to improve the capacity of soil laboratories in West Africa to provide accurate and timely service to target clients. The objectives of this project are to: Improve the professional skills of laboratory staff from 3 countries (Burkina Faso, Mali and Niger) in data handling; and Improve the capacity of the country laboratories in soil testing and recommendations. The proposed trainings will be done in module format and will concern participants from Mali, Burkina Faso and Niger. There will be an initial assessment as baseline, by the project manager in these countries to identify the actual needs. The outcome of this project will be enhanced professional skills of laboratory staff from the 3 countries in data handling and improved level of performance of country laboratories.
